First news item: July 2018 and the website is finally ready to go. It has been a busy year so far, with Ben joining the group in March, Dalton 2018 conference in April where Sophie gave a talk and Omar presented a poster, and saying goodbye to the BSc students as we watched them graduate last week. It was good to have Emily with us for the start of the summer, and congratulations to Matt for finishing in the lab – just the MRes dissertation to finish now.
I was thinking recently about what it means to be an inorganic chemist, and decided it was to do with liking to use the whole periodic table. Just for fun, I thought about all the elements I’ve worked with over the years – I’m not doing too badly, but I’ve still collected fewer than half!
